Exactly they are over bloated crap now!!

I liked version 0.97.68 like crazy!! (About 9 megs installed) Version 2.0.0.73 worked just about as good as 0.97.68 did BUT THE SIZE I DIDNT LIKE!! (21 something megs installed)

If someone could figure out what they did to prevent the old BETA clients from connecting it would be awesome!! (Change server,etc)

I know this is a very old thread but hope this may help someone in my situation. After reading helpful tips here and elsewhere and many failed attempts at downloading older versions of skype for win 98, I got it !!!

Try this one: 3.8.0.188 Ammazing!!
1st time skyper and I chatted with a friend in the middle east from Australia for over 20 mins.
