I have just downloaded WS-FTP Pro from this excellent website. I am not sure whether this is a trial version ands at some point I would have to purchase it or wot. Any advice would be most welcome

Most of the older version of Ws_FTP are 30 days trial versions.

In next few days, we will put more older version of WS FTP. Those will be freeware and you can use it as long as you want.

Thanks for this Admin. How will I be able to differentiate the "older versions" of FTP from what you already have on this excellent site ? Will there be some way of identifying the version you put on ?

We always test all of the versions before listing them.
We will post some-short of notice distinguishing freeware and trial-ware versions.

I totally forgot about your request. I have now listed all limited editions of WS FTP on the site. All of the LE versions are freeware and do not require any licence keys.

The WS_FTP "classic" user interface is available as both WS_FTP Pro
and WS_FTP Limited Edition (LE). WS_FTP LE is a shareware version of
WS_FTP that is made available free to non-commercial users. Read the
WS_FTP LE license for information about free use of the LE version.
