I just finally installed Windows XP on my new 500GB HDD for the 2nd time. I had problems installing it the first time. I've installed all the drivers I got from SONY's web site but the Graphics driver isn't working. When I look at my screen. It's just a scare that is like 1/4 of my monitor and the rest of the screen is black. I always have problems installing Graphics driver I don't know why.
I have SONY VAIO VGN-NR260D with Windows XP: Home 2002 SP2. I installed the Sony chipset driver and the Graphics Media Accelerator Driver.
My Graphics card is Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family.
Last time I installed Windows on this HDD, I can never find the driver online, every site I go to doesn't have the file or the site is unavailable. So I got Intel's site and download it. I download the the EXE file type and it says it's not compatible with my system even though that I selected my correct OS. I download the zip file type and click the install file. It seems to work beucse I didn't get an error. I restart my laptop and got an error the System32 was missing or something so I finally reinstalled Windows again. Theres why I'm avoiding downloading from Intel's site.
Someone sent me the driver but it didn't work either. I notice that it says HP on it.
Does anyone know where I can get the drive (Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family) for Sony VAIO laptop
Sony VAIO VGN-NR260D.
My OS is Windows XP Home Edition 2002
Edit: I took the risk of downloading the zip file from Intel's site again. I works!
