Question What Win 7 means for XP - 07-07-2009

Now that Micro$oft has announced the release of Windows 7 in October, Windows XP will become two generations out-of-date.

So does that give Windows XP official "Old Apps" status?

Most likely... but still the favorite of most users.

Yep. I can't believe that actually XP is now going to be in the category of Old Apps. Loved it. It was one of the best OS I ever had.

Long live Windows XP

According to those who track these stats, Windows XP is still number one.

But its lead is slipping. And Linux is steadily increasing.

Yes, linux on the other can be lesser user friendly than windows but they sure has many users. Windows XP will still rule the operating systems even after years.
