Yahoo Messenger for Mac OSX 10.3 (tried to search)

Hi, all. I love this place.

I'm using an older Mac lappy with version OSX 10.3.9 on it & can't update to Mac OSX 10.4.

I've been trying to find a version of Yahoo Messenger that will work. I've downloaded a few (including the ones on here), but still haven't had any luck. The last one I tried is listed here as
Yahoo Messenger for Mac 3.0. When I attempt to sign on, it just stays in a holding pattern (like it's trying to sign in, but just won't).

Any clues? BTW: I'm sorry if the answer is already here. I did use the search feature & was unable to find it.

May be yahoo messenger will not work on it but I think you should try Adium. It supports all of the messengers in one and it should also work with Mac OS Panther

We have Adium & it used to work fine; but, now error messages come up saying that the yahoo messenger on it is too old & needs to be updated (which unfortunately we can't do because of not being able to update the system to 10.4).
