    Default itunes trouble!

After trying to install the most recent itunes on my computer and having no luck I decided to get an old version that I know used to work on my computer (before I caught a virus and had to do a system recovery). I just downloaded itunes 7.6.2 from this oldapps.com website. When I go to open itunes I get an error message: "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run itunes. Please uninstall and reinstall itunes again. Error 2."
Any advice?? I can't imagine uninstalling and reinstalling would fix my problem. I did not turn off my internet security before downloading could that be it? I have an hp and run Windows Vista. Thank you for any help that comes my way. I miss my music!

    Download Winrar

and follow the screen shots that I have posted.

    1) Right click on the iTunesSetup.exe and select Extract to iTunesSetup

    2) Right click on iTunes.msi and select install

    3) Right click on AppleSoftwareUpdate and select Install

    4) Do the same for all of the .msi packages in that folder.

I have downloaded winrar. I cannot find itunessetup on there???? Can you advise where I should be looking to then follow your screen shots. I've never used winrar app before so it may just be user error. Thank you.

Sorry about that. When you download the older application, save it on your desktop and once the download finished it should be saved as itunessetupXXX.exe where XXX is a version number. Then right click on that downloaded file and follow the screenshots.

Winrar is just an extractor. You need to set a location to land on when the downloading is finished....Follow help_desks instruction and kindly update this post.
We help not because we need to but we help because we want to.........there's a big difference between "need" and "want"
