Hi there, welcome to oldapps!
Here at oldapps you can find different yahoo versions. Here is the link
I don't think 32-bit versions of Yahoo's Messenger still work. I'm looking for a messenger that can still use Yahoo's service that is for Windows 98. I have been using Trillian, but I think they switched to 64-bit only, so it no longer updates. I am going to try an ansi version of Miranda, but would also like another as a backup. Thanks.

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object?
Thanks. My question was actually about the System Requirements, which list different for 32 and 64 bit versions. I don't know how to tell which was correct for the file, or if both versions were included in the download? I know how to tell after it's downloaded, but didn't want to download that much, even though I could use a search algorithm.
I figured I would just look it up at the software's websites, but not to say this one was anything less than very helpful. This is my favorite download site.
I found that Pidgin still works with 98, and it has spell-check, so I chose that. Miranda worked fairly well, also.
I'm sorry I misunderstood.![]()

System requirements for both 32 and 64 bit yahoo messenger.
- Windows 2000, XP or Vista (32 bit can also be installed in 2000, ME, NT and 98)
- Pentium-class processor (1.0GHz or higher)
- Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or later)
- At least 256MB RAM
- A microphone, sound card, and speakers
- A non-proxy connection to the Internet
A broadband Internet connection is recommended, though not necessary.
