Download the iTunes you needed again but this time use a download manager to do so. Sometimes, when you download iTunes not all files are downloaded whole, other files became broken files thus making the installation fail.
I am trying to install itunes 8.2.0 64 bit to my computer. After a very lengthy installation process an error pops up stating it cannot run b/c some of the files are missing. I uninstalled it and tried again and got the same message. Please someone help me![]()

Forgive me, but I am not familiar with a download manager, how do I go about doing that? Can I get that from this site?
Here's the link for download managers. Click any version you want then install. After installing, visit the site wherein you can download iTunes then click download. Download manager will automatically open and will download the file for you.
Here's the link for the download manager

Thanks for all the info, but unfortunatley, it did the same thing again.I was unsure which version to download from the link of download managers you gave me, so I just chose the first one. Is anyone else having this issue with this version of itunes? This is where I tried to dowload it from last night as well. Any other suggestions? I seen there was an update to the download manager which I went ahead and just updated, do you think I should try again or will it matter?
No don't update it. Just install the Download manager. Regarding the iTunes, i have also experienced freezing in the process of installation and sometimes got some pop up messages which tells me some files are missing. All i did was choose another version of iTunes and i never update it and it worked well. Try what i have said and if i didn't work kindly update this post so we can think of another way.
Thank you and have a great day.

I just tried to download a older version 8.1.1 of itunes and still the same error???
Try downloading version 9.0. I'm currently using 9.0 now, just installed it awhile ago. Try installing it then come back if it the problem is still there.

I think that version may defeat my purpose; I was trying to get an older one before apple broke the sync to the plam pre and I was told that was the 8.2.0, but I tried to install that one and the 8.1.1 and neither will work. I had installed the newest one yesterday on the advice of a sprint rep, but I quickly found out I could not sync my pre with that version so I uninstalled it and have been trying to get these older versions to no avail![]()
