HELP My Skype is acting up...

Hi there,
I am running Skype 2.8 on my Mac with OS 10.6.1 and I am very depended on Skype.
If I receive a chat, I receive a bunch of computer commands. My outgoing chats are fine, calling is fine, video works great, it is just my incoming chats.

1. I re-installed it. Did not change anything.
2. I deleted the Skype application, the preference file, and the skype application support file, and then re-installed in. It did not change anything!!
3. I did all of the above again, and re-installed an older version. Again unreadable garbage on receiving chats.

HELP... Can anybody give me some advice?

Can you tell me which version of OS X you are running so that I can figure out which version of Skype you can install to avoid such problems.

Hello there.

Can you please provide the errors popping up everytime you receive an incoming message?

* If like what you have just said "unreadable error message", maybe something is making this error. A file perhaps.

If you have a anti virus (any kind of antivirus) do a manual scan on skype only. Just an advice, search for kaizer killer in google and download it. This is some sort of bug remover/virus remover that works real fast.
