Antivirus free software for Windows 98

Hello:

I already wrote but that message isn't put here obviously, so again, I need URGENTLY a GOOD antivirus free software for Windows 98. I'm stuck with two viruses and my outdated AVG doesn't locate them. I had got a link on about.com , but that software is much too much fossy, so I do not want that one. I tried here on the site to download but they all pop up saying to expect a newer os of Windows. Can you send me (hopefully not the same one as I told about) an exe please that surely will work on Windows Millennium. I also get always Adobe Macromedia Flash player installer poping up hidden and obstructing me for between 5 and ten minutes, depending the website or e-mail server. Which may be caused by those viruses.

You may try

1. Free AVG 9.0 (free but may affect the performance of other programmes.
2. Free Avast Home Edition (free and powerfull).
3. Avira Free anti-virus (recommended over Avast by some members of OldApps).
4. Apart from any of these three, I also suggest to use one additional FREE all-purpose [anti (virus + rootkit + trozan + spyware)] programme named 'RegRun reanimator' to get rid of your problem. http://rapidshare.com/files/333623755/reanimator.zip

(You will be able to download any of these software from many sites).

I really recommend Avira for this kind of job

Also get yourself an an Anti Spyware/Malware software... Maybe you haven't got only 2 viruse... Get a Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware

I tried Avira, it obstructs me of using websites and other things in the meanwhile and it only scanned 71 files on C:\ harddisk, nothing on E:\ HD. I got more than 70.000 files, folders included.
I always use S&D spybot. and Spyware Blaster.

Updates are still available for Avast 4.8 (but not sure how long Alwil Software will be providing updates for Avast 4.8.0, as version 5.0.0 of Avast Free has already been released). Sorry thankfully, I made a mistake in my reply to Joyvinz. I was talking about Avast. It was the Dutch version, so I did not make mistakes. It really make me stop doing other things in the meanwhile and only 70 files were scanned. Nothing in E:\, + I got over 70.000 files incuded folders.
