i really,really need help with itunes.... :0

Im new to this computer thing and im clueless.
so i got the ipod touch 2nd generation and i've been trying to jailbreak it
for 2 days. its a hassle.
I went to blackra1n and that didnt do anything but make me have to keep
updating my ipod.

Then i figured its because i updated my ipod to 3.1.3 and i shouldnt have apparently
because theres no jailbreak for it yet. (?)
So is there a way to go back and undo the update; [or possibly get 3.1.2]
and still have all my songs and applications
or am i stuck with 3.1.3?
