    Default Limewire Problems

i just installed Limewire and i remember there was this popup asking me about lisenses or something and i clicked a 'no' answer. so now when i want to try to download something, it doesn't want to download. it just does nothing. it doesn't even go to the downloading little window at the bottom of the screen.

i have version 4.12.6, it's the newest one. i think there's a license protection or something on the newer version...

The only way I think that something like this would happen is when limewire asks you: "Limewire was anable to find licence for the file you are about to donwload" (something similer messege)

And when you select no. then it will not donwload the song.

but the funny part is that no songs download so i don't know what happened there. i already tried to uninstall and re-install the program again and now it doesn't do much

you must have selected that "Do not show me this message again" check-box. But if you can't download you should try other p2p software listed here: http://www.oldapps.com/old_version_l...le_Sharing.php

    (Ares, eMule, Shareaza, WinMX, etc.)

here's a screen cap of 4.8 and it works fine for me. i am not sure how the searches compare with the later versions. those are the files i have in the picture. i think 4.8 is the last version that was stand alone... while... some of the newer versions asked for you to install weatherbug or some other program with it.

u dont need to uninstall or reinstall..jus do the followin...(in limewire)

goto tools-options-view-popups check the "revert to default" box

select a file to download and when ur shown the "could not find lisense" popup
check "always use this answer" and answer "YES"....

    happy downloading...and keep sharing..
