Java Runtime Environment Forum
I've tried to get a solution however there seems to be none at the moment..
It reads:
error code 2755. 1631
2002 Windows Xp with Sp2, Yahoo browser, and network connection.
Has anyone had a similiar problem?
There are four ways that I think I might have done something wrong:
Downloading. I tried to download it online and offline. It is an installation issue rather than what Java.com refered me to. Then on oldapps.com.
Service Pack. It is already updated.
Browser Cache/properties. It's on default with cleared temp folders.
Networking. Supposedly I encrypted my own folder and the application didn't work. Nevermind that it is suppose to be invisible, but I checked my application data/temp folder.. it's not encrypted.
Should I check out the system registry? I think what happened was it didn't install all the way the first time when I had restored my hard drive and it left behind some dirt.

I've checked a lot of forums, but they didn't seem to help.
Thanks nevertheless Sky.
I didn't have much time to fiddle around with this problem, and so I restored my HardDrive. I think the problem was a browser script error that failed to recognize an updated version, SBC Browser + IE6 (Usually I use Firefox or Opera). It promps to keep trying to re-install Java via Macromedia Flash. When it couldn't install, it corrupted the directory. It was most likely partially installed during the second time I was prompted to install it again (and that's where I might have made the mistake).
Instead of trying to locate the files and deleting them manually, I just cleaned off my Harddrive and restored the factory settings. Not really a resolution to move all my junk into my other HD. But I guess that works too when you're pressed for time.![]()

What if you try to uninstall and then reinstall the same version or the older or newer version of Java Runtime Environment?
Current version of java is 1.5 Update 6. Make sure you have it on your PC. If not try it here: http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. It had not let me uninstall.
