    Default Limewire 4.18.8

I have been using limewire 4.18.8 on my Mac with OS X 10.4.11 for quite some time. Recently when I opened it I got a message that updates were available, so I "updated", installed and tried to run. I got a message that the new version would not run on my system. I then tried to reinstall 4.18.8 from various sources with no luck at all. Today I found this site and downloaded from here. I double clicked to install per directions and then got the message that there was a newer version on my system and installing this would replace it, which is exactly what I wanted, so I clicked okay..... and proceeded. Then I clicked install, and got a message that there was nothing to install. ????????????????? How do I get this version of limewire re-installed on my system?

    Default limewire 4.18.8

    2nd try.......

I've been using limewire 4.18.8 for quite a while. A couple weeks ago I opened and was again told there was a newer version and this time clicked on it, installed and then tried to open and was told it would not run on my system.... OS X 10.4.11. I've tried numerous "free downloads" most came up as .exe files and opened in text edit with a bunch of hyroglyphics. Today I found this site and joyously downloaded limewire 4.18.8 and then double clicked to install as instructed. I got a message that there was a newer version on my system and installing this would replace it, which was exactly what I wanted to do, so I clicked continue, then install and got a message that there was nothing to install. ??????????????????? How do I get 4.18.8 back on my Mac and be able to use it?????????

There is a whole bunch of older versions here Old Version of LimeWire for Mac Download . Try versions below 4.18.8 if you can. Also select not to upgrade when you install an older version.

The link in the email took me to a page that said "vBulletin Message
No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"

As to the above response....... It was 4.18.8 from OldApps.com that I was trying to install.....

In the meantime I searched how to find files on Mac and went in and deleted everything limewire, then went back and downloaded 4.18.8 AGAIN and it installed perfectly.
