Just loaded 5.2.5 Bear Share on a new PC. Tried to download music and indicator shoiws cant connect to host. Anything else I might need to do to get Bear Share to work? Thanks.

Bearshare has switched to different type of system. The older versions will not work. You might want to download LimeWire, Ares, or FrostWire.

Yes it is and also Bearshare need to signup to get into and download music and videos.
Mostly this are not considering a good intention for that, but if you wanted it to be connected, follow the procedure.
There are a lot of options to download music and videos and more.
