    Question ICQ Clients Question

    Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, so I'm still trying to find my way around. Anyway, I wanted to know out of all the old versions of ICQ, which is the oldest one that will still connect? I recently made the decision to downgrade from ICQ 7 right down to 99b. Never had any trouble with connecting to ICQ 7, but every time 99b boots up I keep on getting the error message that it can't connect and I might have a problem with a firewall. I use Windows Firewall, and it let my previous ICQ clients from ICQ 5.1 connect with no dramas.
If anybody can help me out here regarding getting my client of choice to work on my computer, that'd be great.
I'm using Windows XP Home, and have SP3 installed on it.

Downgrade might be good for your system, and i think you have to use some registry cleaner to remove such file that are no longer use and easily install the ICQ newest version. This probably occur when the existing version is not totally removed in the system.
