    Default Little Startup Issue

This is really no a big deal or anything, but I still want to fix it. Every time I startup my computer I'm shown and the old password sign in screen and a warning box immediately pops and saying unable to log in or something, I click ok and continue my log in. I want know how can I get rid of this nuisance?

It would help if we can see a screenshot or a photo of your screen.

Hmm...I actually forgot I made this thread..

    I'm using Windows XP Professional.

The message says this, " The system could not log you on. Make sure your sure name and domain are correct, then type you password again."

The thing is this message pops up automatically, This may have something to do with the fact that when I got this computer It would automatically log in bypassing the user select screen altogether and since everyone (family & friends) uses the computer, I had no privacy so I deleted the original user profile and created another. Yeah, I'm guessing I shouldn't have done that

Hi, thanks for the info. try this one just follow the steps.

How to remove Remove the Welcome Screen

    Method 1
If you dont want to use "Fast User Switching", you may want to disable the Welcome Screen. You must be logged in as an Administrator to do this. Please follow the directions below.

    1) Click on Start
    2) Click on Control Panel
    3) Double-click on User Accounts
    4) Click on "Change the way users log on or off"
    5) Uncheck "Use the Welcome Screen" (note: this will also disable "Fast User Switching")
    6) Click on Apply Options
    7) Close the User Accounts window and the Control Panel
    8) The next time you reboot your computer, the classic login prompt will be used

    Method 2
Open TweakUI (Click Start, Programs, Powertoys for Windows XP). Expand the Logon branch, and click Autologon. Turn on the "Log on automatically at......" option, type your username and password, and click Ok.

    TweakUI v2.00 for Windows XP

v2.10 for Windows XP/SP1 and above

I may have mislead you. I don't want to removed the Welcome Screen just the message that keeps popping up before it. I also tried with the classic login and it still appears. Also I searched for Powertoys and for some reason it's not there.
