Have you tried to see if ippodservices.exe is running in the background? Also see if other USB ports work on it or not.
I am running a windows 7 o/s and until recently running Itunes with my IPhone and it was working perfectly.
I have now updated Itunes to 10.1 and both my Iphone and my daughters will not show up in the devices in Itunes.
I have tried all the usual methods to get it back including, reinstalling itunes, changing my Antivirus, upgrading my Antivirus, checking msconfig.
I have found that in Itunes under the properties tag that under sharing, Bonjour says it needs to be restarted.
Checking in msconfig and windows systems evrything seems fine and it says Bonjour is running along with other parts of Itunes and Apple software. It is only in Itunes that it says it's not. I have taken my phone to another computer at work and itunes works fine.
Please help if you can, I've run out of ideas.

Hi
ipodservices and usb ports all seem to be running correctly. Have been checked via msconfig and services.
Iphone cannot be seen by computer or itunes.
I think best thing for you to do is just take that iPhone to Apple store. Even if it's out of warranty those guys can help you fix the issue.
