    Default Musicmatch Jukebox compatibility issues

    I am the proud owner of MMJB version 7.10.3003 purchased new from their website. It ran fine until about 2 years ago when my Windows auto updater downloaded SP3. It killed my desktop icon and any manual attempts to run or reinstall the program failed. From this wonderful forum where I posted the problem I received the advice to Restore my PC to a date prior to SP3 and that worked great. That ended last week when my IP insisted on upgrading their Computer Associates Security Suite Software to Version 6.0.0.285. At the same time they updated my browser to IE8.0. This change caused my MMJB to stop working again. When I click the shortcut icon or enter the target in the Start/Run box it just sits there. No error messages, no lock up, no response. The hour glass comes up for a few seconds and then goes away. This time there are no restore points available before the change. I have a back up of the Musicmatch folder from January 2011 but loading it didn't help. Does anyone know where to find the Registration Key in the files? All the original files are intact as far as I know but I don't have the Key to try to re-install. Does anyone know if my version of MMJB is incompatible with the new CA or IE8.0?     I think (from my point of view) that there is a file in MMJB that is not compatible with IE8.As for the keys we apologize but we cannot post any product key here. Maybe when you downloaded that program it has a serial key included but if you want, give me a private message so i can help you with your problem.

    Thanks for your quick response. I am inclined to agree that there may be a conflict with a file in IE8. If I try to run MMJB from a fresh restart on my PC first, then IE8 sometimes won't run. It looks like I should uninstall IE8 and download IE7. Regarding the Key to my Version 7 I was hoping someone would know which file to look in for the original. "Help" says it is in Help/registration/user info but so far I only found a partially blank form. I'm not elligible to send private messages yet but will be shortly. Thanks.

    Last night I uninstalled IE8 and downloaded and insttalled IE7. This all worked fine with no error messages. However MMJB still would not work and the Internet Explorer hung up while in use, then closed itself. I then uninstalled IE7 and went back to Version 6.0. Walla! MMJB started working and so did IE6. I do get a message when going on line that my browser is out of date, but it seems to work fine. This PC is an older one that I will now dedicate to my music work and will not do any more Windows updates as long as possible. The new Computer Associates Security Suite Version 6.0 is also working fine so there doesn't seem to be any compatibility issues there.

    Regarding the Registration Key, my original download product ID and other Version information is found at Help/Registration/Userinfo and my upgrade key for MMJB Plus was on the opening page under Help/About Musicmatch Jukebox. Thanks for your help. Hopefully others will benefit from this info.
