The version that works fine with all ipods is version 6.0.5. Old iTunes are here

When that gray icon appears on the left. right click on that song and select get info. Then at the bottom of the windows it will show location. Can you please let me know the location.

When i pull up the info for the songs that have grey exclamation points the all of them say "not availible" in the "where" section

it gives all of the other information except where it is located

can you go to search and seach for the exact song? I'm sure you will not find it but it would be better to try atleast. Meanwhile, I'll try to figure out a problem here.

i've checked in my documents and my computer but i can't find the files anywhere! do you have any idea how i can get the files back? are they gone for good? im so confused!
and which version of itunes was the one that was used before they updated to the brand new version?

thankyou so much!!
It was version 6.0.5 All over this forum you can see how to conver from version 7 to 6.0.5.

Also the best way to see if those songs still exists on your computer is simply by searching for them.

I just wanted to say thankyou to Brandorkrules. I have a brand new iPod and it just froze up on me. I couldn't do anything at all with it!!! iTunes told me it was corrupted. Looking at the forum I took the advice of Brandorkrules and pressed menu plus the middle section together and hey presto - back to normal.

Thankyou
