    Default Importing CDs

When importing a CD, iTunes creates a folder for that album. That album folder is in the artis's folder which is in the My Music folder. However, I also have the iTunes folder in the My Music folder which I thought contained all the music from my library in it. Is this creating two copies of the songs and therefore using double the amount of hard drive space?

    Thanks.

yep. It does create a diffrent copy so it will take more hard drive space.

Okay, so I just checked the properties of the iTunes folder and it is only about 59 MB, so the music is just getting imported into the artis folders in the My Music folder. Sorry, for the confusion, I should have checked this sooner. I think I may have been thinking of the folders that the music is stored in on the iPod that seem kinda random.
