Hello,
I seem to have this similar problem of Songs Disapering from I tunes 7. I would like to go back to version 6. If anyone could point me to a step by step on how to do this, it would be great. Mac G4 800MHZ 512 Ram OSX 10.39
Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I have done what you said with success. When i try to install I tunes 6.04 it tells me that the packedge cannot be installed because a newer version of the packedge is arlready installed. I'll await your reply.
thanks

Once you have uninstalled 7.1 you should do the following.
Plan A - Uninstall any Microsoft Updates that may be stopping you from installing older software. This may allow you to carry on without resorting to Plan B
Plan B - Try the following if Plan A doesnt work
A) Uninstall quicktime and/or iTunes. The uninstaller will fail so you will have to manually remove all quicktime registry entries and files on your harddisk. Quicktime files can be located in the following locations;
C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64
C:\Program Files (x86)
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
In these locations delete all files to do with apple computer, itunes and quicktime.
Registry files can be found by using the search tool in regedit, and searching for Quicktime.
B) Download the previous versions of quicktime and/or itunes. (If you don't already have them)
C) Now install quicktime first and then iTunes. Restart the computer and they should both work again.
Hope this helps.
