Exclamation Cant install iTunes, newest version

I am hoping someone can help me here, since Apple and HP are usless right now. I just got an iPod Nano for my birthday, but the iTunes my wife uses for her iPod needs to be updated. so I update it and when it tries to creat the folders it has an error saying exactly.......

"Could not set file security for file 'C:\documents and settings\All Users\ Application Data\Apple Computer\itunes\sc info\'. Error: 112. Verify that you have sufficient privleges to modify the security permissions for this file."

First, how do I mofidy my security permissions?

Secondly, can I register my iPod in another way and use different programs for both my wife and my iPod?

Help would be VERY appreciative as right now there has not been a support site or tech that can help me out here. I have not had any other problems with my computer, this is the only problem I am facing and I am ready to break this damn computer!

    1) Right click on the file and select properties. Thereafter uncheck Hidden and readonly boxes.

    2) I didn't get the second question but u can use copypod, anapod explorer or itunes for ipod i suppose.

Let me know if you need more help.

Yep, I have the same problem.

Just got and iPhone. To authorize it, I need to newest iTunes. So, I went to the apple site, downloaded, started... Got "Could not set file security for file 'C:\documents and settings\All Users\ Application Data\Apple Computer\itunes\sc info\'. Error: 1392. Verify that you have sufficient privleges to modify the security permissions for this file.". OK, let me uncheck permissions and try installation again... nope - the same message. Ok, let me uninstall it and start all over... Nope - doesn't help. Ok, may be it saves something to the registry? - cleaned manually registry from all things iTunes. Nope, didn't help...
    Any advice?

Go into your computer as administrator and install it. If that does not work. Download it and save the itunes installation file somewhere on your computer. Then run your computer in safe mode and then install it.

be sure to install i tunes as a computer administrator, if you try to install it under limited account, a lot of errors and bugs will float.

Are you an administrator of your account? I would download itunes then Right Click on the Installer and Select "Run As" and then run it as Administrator.

You have to run it or install it under administrator -------> According to your error it says "Verify that you have sufficient privleges to modify the security permissions for this file. " ----> This will prove that your installing it not as an administrator.
