Perhaps you should try using Limewire or eMule they are good alternative to Ares.

Could all those with connection problems please update to the latest version of ares from www.aresgalaxy.org and then click the link below:

    Connection Fix

THIS LINK IS NOT A PROGRAM
THIS IS A HASHLINK THAT MAY MAKE ARES CONNECT

I have Ares and got the same thing once, the best thing to do is remove the programme from your computer, then re-install it. It happens when they do updates on the shareware software or so I'm told. I have done this with mine and since had no problems.

Check the settings in the Ares CPanel too. Check that it is definately connected from there. Ares Control Panel is at the top right of the screen

limewire is NOT the best. Because it could crash your computer

What about under the nickname how it has speed. My speed says N/A and in Transfer, my bandwidth is 0. Could this be the problem? cheers

I really can't think .. I will see what I can come up with, but my speed is set to N/A too , and i work just fine now, so I can't see it being that

Also if your bandwith is set to zero then that means you have no limit
