Default Should I stay or should I go? This is an itunes situation and I need feedback!

Boy am I glad I found this site before I did something I knew I would regret! I actually downloaded itunes a few years ago (version 4.0) but never got an ipod (long story) until a month ago. It actually works fine but I wanted to upgrade itunes to 7.whatever so I could put pictures on it and use other new options. I was just checking around to see what people thought about it and I am seeing that the newest itunes has a lot of issues and I concluded there is NO WAY it is going on my computer.

Does 6.whatever let you put pictures on your ipod nano?

Even if it does, should I take the chance and download it? I mean, the version I have does its job but i would like a newer version if its not gonna screw me over.
    What do you guys think?
    Thanx

iPod 6 should be able to help you to put pictures into your ipod nano. You need to follow these steps:

For all of you that need to do the same it's pretty easy:
I downloaded the 6.05 install file from from oldapps, uninstalled 7.01 and then re-installed 6.05. When I ran iTunes it did give me the error message that the library file was created in a new version and couldn't open, but I then deleted the 'itunes library.itl' file (in My Music > iTunes folder) and then replaced it with the backup that was automatically created when I installed 7.01 (in My Music > iTunes > Previous iTunes Libraries). iTunes then started up fine with all my music and playlists. And all the skipping and CPU bogging is better now.
