Can't update to itunes 7.0.2

I have been using itunes 6 without problem until I purchased a new shuffle which requires the latest version. I installed and when I click icon it seems like it will work, hourglass pops up, then nothing...no error message. Quicktime works fine. Have windows firewall which allows itunes. I have Norton antivirus 2005, but this has expired. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall and nothing works. I have tried logging on under different account. Any suggestions? Why is this so hard?

If iTunes gives you problems, I suggest you to try out SOngBird. It should work fine.
