Network monitoring tool

I have to monitor several small networks (dozens servers on severalsites). It would be great to use some network and server monitoring tool tocheck servers availability.Alerting and reporting engine would be greatly appreciated. What is the mostpopular network monitor?

GFI? Come on! Their prices just ridiculous. I have been using "Advanced HostMonitor" for ages and rely on it as well. KS-Soft team managed to createwonderful product: easy to use but really powerfull and very flexible.Enterprise license costs about $500 or $600 and allows you to monitorthousands hosts in several networks, plus you may use a lot of usefullauxiliary tools (while Lite license costs $99, I think).
