Good question

Making older version of hotmail would help people around but I don't think Microsoft would let anyone do that.

The only thing you can try at this point is to use classical hotmail layout.

You should try using outlook (or Outlook Express) to get emails. Its pretty good way to just stick to one standard and simple user interface.

Well, thanks for the replies. I just hate the new format for Windows Live, and REGRET having thought bout trying it. It stinks... in my opinion. I may try to get back the "original" format thing.... thanks again !!

Oh, also, I do use Outlook, along with Yahoo... but I also have Hotmail, mainly for JUNK businesses, etc... stuff that's not really important, subscriptions to online things. So yes, I do have other emails, but wanted to change HOTMAIL back to "easy view" original. Thx :-)

Oooh, ooooh, oooh.... I looked at the "options"... and there is an "OPT OUT" option if you don't like the new Windows Live !! Yippeeee... I'm back to my plain ole simple Hotmail self. Thanks people, appreciate your input.

I hate it too! I tried it ages ago and I had the option to revert back but for some reason I have been changed over to WIndows Live again and I do not have the OPT OUT under Options anymore. Please don't tell me I am stuck with this forever!! Help!!

I know how you feel.

Even when you have the upgraded version, and you opt out or switch to classic, it ISN'T the real hotmail! I hate this live garbage where everything is bundled into one, and its poor attempt to look space age! I hate it with a passion, if it were a person, I would hurt it. Is there any way whatsoever to get the REAL classic version back? My friend's hasn't been converted over to the dark side yet, and I want mine desperately back to normal. Is there any one who knows how to do this???
