Smile Old version iTunes from version 7.3 to 7.2 for mac

    Go to http://oldapps.com/download_iTunes_mac.php .

    - Install 7.2 as an upgrade onto the hard drive. It will find the right places.
    - It will ask you to close iTunes, it is then OK to do so.
    - Do NOT uninstall 7.3.
-After install iTunes 7.2 will then be in your Applications folder. Don't open app yet.
-Go to User/Music folder and look in it. it should not have iTunes, or if there should be empty.
-Get the "was iTunes" folder from the Desktop and put back into User/Music/
-Rename it iTunes before or after moving it back.
-Now iTunes 7.2 shoud run just as before the 7.3 upgrade, and all file info should be there.
This provides a temporary fix without data loss until Apple fixes 7.3.

Thanx Iold, very much appreciate your help in steps to revert back from iTunes 7.3 to 7.2. I just want to be sure I don't mess up -- hence some questions before I proceed.
You say Install 7.2, and when the message asks to close iTunes, I should do so. This implies that I should have iTunes already open before installing 7.2? If iTunes is closed prior to the install of 7.2, is it that iTunes will open as part of the installation process, the message to close will appear, and then I should click OK ( to close).

Your next step is to go to"User/Music" folder. I used Spotlight to search for User/Music to no avail; however, Spotlight did find "iTunes Music" with the path '/Users/Steve/Music/iTunes. I'd appreciate your confirming that this is the folder I need to look in and make sure it is empty. Please correct my assumption if I am wrong.

Finally, you say to get the "was iTunes" folder from the desktop and move it to User/Music folder and rename it iTunes. My question is when does a "Was Itunes" folder appear on my desktop or am I misinterpreting? Does the appearance of "Was iTunes" happen automatically as I follow your instructions?

Thanx in advance for your assistance and patience.

/Users/Steve/Music/iTunes is the correct folder but "was itunes" is not. Let me find out a good solution for you.
